Every record in your CAD, from civilians and licences to arrest reports and warrants, is built from a record template. The Records & Reports tab of the CAD admin panel is where you design those templates, add custom search types, report on charges and clean up old records. Custom search types for any record field. How matchers link templates, Search fill, Run and charge totals. *** ## Templates Open **Templates** to see every template on your CAD. Record Templates table with Template ID, Label, Type, Last Updated and the row actions New CADs come with ready-made templates: Civilian Character, Drivers Licence, Vehicle Registration, BOLO, Arrest Warrant, Vehicle Citation, General Citation, Arrest Report and Accident Report. To make your own, see [Creating Templates](/CAD/Admin/recordsreports/creating-templates). From a template's row you can also **Reset Template to Default**, **Share Template**, duplicate it or delete it. The Civilian template is locked while auto-created civilians are on, and Licence and Vehicle templates are locked while auto vehicle registration is on. Turn these off in [General Settings](/CAD/Admin/config#general-settings) to edit them. To share templates between CADs or import them from Sonoran CAD, see [Sharing and Importing](/CAD/Admin/recordsreports/creating-templates#sharing-and-importing). *** ## Template Details The Template Details card in the editor sets the template's name, look, type, which agencies can use it and how charges on it behave. Licence, Vehicle, DMV and Civilian templates have extra settings like expiry and renewal cost and every template can post records to Discord webhooks. Click **Add new section** for a blank or special section (charges, speed, licence suspension and more) or **Add premade section** for ready-made civilian info, report headers and footers. This can't be undone. Civilian and BOLO templates can't be duplicated or deleted, since you can only have one of each. Records from a deleted template stay in your CAD until you [purge them](#purge-records). *** ## Search Indices Search indices are custom search types that let users search records by any field, such as phone number. See [Search Indices](/CAD/Admin/recordsreports/search-indices) to add one. *** ## Charges Report The Charges page totals every charge filed on records, so you can see what's charged most. Filter by date, template, act or the creating unit's agency and subdivision, then click **Get Results**. Click **Export** to download a CSV. Charges report filters for date, template, act, agency and subdivision, with the Export and Get Results buttons Records from templates with Don't Prosecute Charges are left out unless you tick **Include records that don't prosecute charges**. Speeding charges are grouped by speeding class. The table ends with a total for each act and a grand total, and shows up to 1,000 rows. *** ## Purge Records Purging permanently deletes records in bulk. Open **Purge Records** to start. The template stays. | | Purge Orphaned Records | Records whose template has been deleted. | Purging can't be undone and is recorded in the [audit log](/CAD/Admin/config#audit-logs). *** Still have questions?
