# Punishment Controls

> Kick or ban players again automatically if they rejoin your ER:LC server too soon after a kick.

***

## What are Punishment Controls?

Punishment Controls stop kicked players from coming straight back. If a player rejoins your ER:LC server within your rejoin timer, Melonly kicks or bans them again.

  Requires [Melonly Plus](https://melonly.xyz/plus).

## How to Use Punishment Controls

Find **Punishment Controls** on the **ER:LC Integration → API** page, below **Shift Automation**.

### Configuration Options

| Setting | Description |
| - | - |
| Punishment Rejoin Timer | How long, in minutes, a kicked player must stay out. If they rejoin sooner, Melonly punishes them again. |
| Should the User Be Kicked or Banned? | Off kicks the player again, on bans them |
| Create Log When User Rejoins | Creates a punishment log when the rejoin timer kicks or bans a player |

The last two settings are hidden when the timer is 0.

Staff with the Delete Logs permission can void the timer for a single kick. Find the kick command in **Game Logs** on the Mod Panel.

## Example Use Cases

* Stop players from dodging kicks by rejoining
* Escalate to a ban for players who keep coming back
* Enforce kicks the same way for every staff member
