What is Customization?

The Customization tab of the CAD admin panel is where you shape the CAD around your community: regional wording, 10-codes, sounds, agencies, groups, address shortcuts, unit statuses and dashboard panels.
Requires the CAD Admin permission. See Permissions.
Changes on each page are kept as a draft until you click Save Changes (Ctrl + S). Click Reset to throw the draft away. Saved changes go live for everyone straight away and are recorded in the CAD audit log. The Groups page is the exception: it saves every change instantly.

🧭 Quick Navigation

Regionality

Regional Words match the CAD’s wording to your region, such as the emergency number, currency symbol, timezone and speed units. See Regionality for every setting.

10-Codes

The 10-Codes page holds the code list units and dispatchers pick from, up to 150 codes. See 10-Codes to add, paste or import them.

Tones

The Tones page lets you replace the CAD’s sounds, add your own tones and set up signal presets. See Tones.

Custom Notification Tones

Replace the default sound for any CAD event, or turn off spoken alerts. See Custom Notification Tones.

Custom Tones

Add up to 30 sounds for the Tone Board. See Custom Tones.

Agencies

Agencies organize units in the CAD. Every unit belongs to an agency, and each agency belongs to one panel. You can have up to 15 agencies, each with up to 4 subdivisions like Traffic or K9. New servers start with a set of example agencies you can edit or delete. Full details are on Agencies & Panels, along with panels: restyle the built-in dashboard tiles and add up to 12 service panels, like separate Police and Sheriff tiles.

Agency Fields

Each agency has a name, an abbreviation, a panel, an equipment list units can pick from, an optional department restriction and an optional map jurisdiction. See Agency fields for every option.

Groups

Premade groups are ready-made unit groups that units can join and dispatchers can assign, up to 30. See Premade Groups.

Address Shortcuts

Address shortcuts let users type a short name (like Hospital) and get the full address in the address suggestions on calls. You can have up to 40.
